Now that Mooriah has finally birthed those babies, the time has come for her to head back into the studio and give the fans thay've been craving since The Emancipation of Mimi...some quality music hopefully not produced by The Dream and Tricky. Mimi's annoying mouthpiece Nick Cannon revealed this exciting bit of T:


“She’s planning on having a record out this year,” says Cannon. “She’s been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and [the pregnancy] has totally inspired her on so many different levels. You’re definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah.”

Let's hope some of that baby inspiration does in fact rub off on the music, because you know it's a sad day when your last studio album, Merry Christmas II You charts higher than Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel (debuting at #4 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 56,000 copies). I still wish Island/Def Jam would reconsider releasing the Jump Smokers remix of the latter album, but that ship has long sailed. Are you guys excited about a new Mariah album?
